Talking JBL colors - blue and grey

    Hello JBL fanatics !

First : i made a search and read all posts regarding blue and grey paint...

For blue it seems it's RAL 5007. Right ?
For grey, i didn't find answer...
So with an official color collection, i try to compare with my 2397. It's not so evident (perhaps my eyes arn't so acurate... ) and i "pre-selected" RAL 7012, 7015 or 7039.

Any members have made the test to confirm which one is more similar ?

And we can definitely specify those colors ?

Happy new year to all of you !

    Yvon

For those wondering what RAL is.

    http://www.ral.de/en/ral_farben/home/index.php

I guess Pantone is the standard in the USA.

    http://www.pantone.com/pages/pantone/index.aspx
    had L25,L36,L40,L120,L300,AquariusIV(2),S1,4408 have L65,L100,L222,DorianS12,B380

    Red face Pantone or RAL

    Hello JBL fanatics !

Ok, you can see the conversion table at : http://www.groensteen.net/couleur.php

So regarding JBL, the question with pantone remains :

For the blue : RAL5007 or Pantone 5405C - is it right ?

    For the grey : RAL7012 - Pantone 445C
    or RAL7015 - Pantone 425C
    or RAL7039 - Pantone 418C - which one ?

    Any opinion ?

    TIA

    Yvon

    Forget Pantone !

Pantone is the international reference for the printing industry (inks-dyes) . RAL is for Pigment (organic-inorganic) there is not an accurate cross-reference. Mix your own is my advice. Or I can mix it for you , You buy the paint and postage.

PM.Saeman and see what he suggests !

Try RAL 5012 as your base then add 5021 until you get there.

the grey is RAL 7038 , tint darker if you need to.

Remember , water-based dries lighter and oil-based dries darker !
