Refinishing L20t3 cabinets, recommendations needed

I am currently refinishing some L20t3 that I picked up last month. They have the blonde oak veneer. I hand sanded the boxes and they are now ready for a finish coat. My question is what to finish these with? I want to match the factoy blonde oak L100t3 speakers that I will be using these with. Would a lemon oil treatment be sufficient? I am concerned that a polyurethane finish would make them too dark. Has anyone worked with this veneer before?

I would recommend You to put your speakers in the car and drive to a firm that specializes in wooden floors. I had a simular problem, and I got great help doing that. They can mix different oils to get just the coulour You need. Good Luck!
