    DX-1 XPL-200 x-over cards on the way

After some great deliberation, I have finally scored two sets of XPL-200 cards for my two DX-1's plus a third DX-1 for good measure. I don't have a third set of cards but I can always build a pair now that I will have orignal sets with me.

There were only 500 DX1’s ever made. They were offered world wide, but were extremely slow sellers. I have to guess that Europe and US were about equal in usage with Asia being in 3rd place.

I will attached diagrams of values and photos for XPL-200, S5500 and S9500 cards.

The building of my XPL-200/DX-1 system is slowly gathering pace.

I think the hardest part has be done and that is obtaining hard to get DX-1's and very rare XPL-200 x-over cards for the DX-1's and the original stands to suit the XPL-200 speakers.

Now, all I need is to find a pair of XPL-200 speakers and a few more amps to set the stage for some interesting listening. I'll also perform a shooutout of the XPL-200's against my B&W 801 Matrix Series 3 speakers. Some inntesting times ahead and I'm looking forward to it.

I have finally decided to go with Odyssey Audio Stratos Mono Extremes for my 4 amps but this is another excercise.

SO far it has taken my 18 months to source components to build up my XPL-200/DX-1 system and I can see it going for some time yet but like they say "Patience is a virtue".

    Enjoy.

kick start your effort with some XPL140's

You want a nice pair of XPL140's to get your started ? Mated to that killer PartsExpress Sub1500 driver in the enclosure of your choosing, you'd have a potential XPL200-killer.

They're just sitting in my basement waiting for a buyer....
