Good that you are safe for the moment. Good luck to you and your family. I have only seen a short newsflash of the fire and it looked bad.

On the news last night they are saying the fires may have been arson! What kind of people do things like this?

Arsonists that are caught should be forced into firefighting service with just a shovel.

That way they could dig their own grave before they burn to death.

The fire near my house (Santiago/Orange County fire) was the one known to be set by arson. They know this because it broke out in three places both proximate in area and time. There is a $70,000 reward for info leading to their arrest. The fire is still going, but has moved southeast from us. When the winds blow hard, there always seems to be some crazy who will do this. (Typical SoCal wind fires are caused by downed power lines.)

On a brighter note, the three evacuees from the San Diego area that I had been housing were allowed to return (Witch Canyon fire).

I called them and their house (and local area) was untouched. But they did go through some burned out areas along Camp Pendleton.

The smoke is still terrible and my eyes burn even in the house with the a/c on.

So glad to hear that the danger is over for you. Heard on the news that about 1500 houses has burned down. Terrible. I can only imagine, maybe not even that, how this must have been. Anyway

1500 homes that’s dreadful, hope (Governor Schwarzengger) can turn things around, I mean this is one headache you don’t need to deal with, not when one of the fires was started deliberately, little bastards.

Tough call how to divide the money I mean $70.000 wouldn’t buy the loss of the home and its contents not to mention the inconvenience it’s cursed to millions of home owners. I say feed those evil bastards to some hungry Florida alligators.

Just used the vehicle and used a few other keywords and read the news on that. I guess the FBI is checking every single Ford F150 in California or the USA and cross reference each and the whereabouts of where the person was on that day. Yes it won’t be long before they are imprisoned in a federal state prison for a few decades, maybe even possible life!
