    Talking 4435A (A - Australian) monitors

Here is a very interesting twist on the 4435's. Built by an oz company.

    Smile If I remember correctly?

That was an additional cab that JBL offered.
Maybe someone else can confirm or deny? This may be a copy of that.

The 4435 + 2405 has been posted here before. I think it is a DIY project. I don't believe JBL ever offered it. I would venture to guess you would see many more 4435's with the upgrade if they did.

    Very slick and cool!

    Question extra

For some reason I seem to remember some type of HF add on cab but I do not remember what speaker it was for. I will try to get some info and post it. Could be that I am way out there (has been known to happen before!!)

    what is really is...

I can tell you the exact story of this particular unit as it was made by a company here in Australia who do sound for concerts & studios etc in a town where I used to live 8 years ago - Geelong.

As 4435's are near on impossible to find over here Bill Dart from db Concert Sound build this set (this pic) for a guy from Geelong. He wanted the 2405H on-top to 'make it a bit more hifi'. I have never seen any documented add-on for the 4435's on JBL's site so I think it was just Bill's invention. My brother, who still lives in Geelong, relays that Bill remarked it took him about 6 repaints of the fronts of the last set he built to get it looking right.

Anyway if I can't find some 4430's (or mayb some 4435's) soon I'm going to get them to make me a set (undecided if I need a 2405H though!!). If you know of a set of genuine 4430's in great nick - then I'm will to pay AUD5k$ for them; shipped sea freight to aus.
