    Not JBL but horn question

    Hi.

Im just starting to get an idea how a horn works, but does anyone know what the idea behind the asymetrical Acapella Horns? The one that is also bent backwards at the mouth.

The model im thinking of is ACAPELLA LaCampanella

    Best regards Tim

    from 6moons.com review:

Incidentally, the asymmetrical horn shape of the LaCampanellas -- already applied for with a German patent -- is said to mitigate reflections at the horn's lower cut-off range, again to avoid certain 'typical horn colorations' that plague other such designs.
I read this as an intent to spread, over time, flare termination reflections so they don't
effectively bunch up at one frequency (lowers Q of response anomaly) ... just my WAG.
