    D123

Has anybody ever seen a D123 with a 4 in. voice coil?

There is no such thing. The cones came from Hawley with a 3" collar.

Could it have been a D131 (4 inch voice coil) mis-labelled as a D123 that you saw?
I have a picture of a D130 with a cutCorners label identifying it as a D208. Mistakes were sometimes made.

This seller seems to be well intentioned if not misinformed.

He mentions Harvey Gerst in the ad and I don't think he ever expected a
    disclaimer from the man himself.

It's obviously a D131, not a D123. It's the "hi-fi" version of the D120. I would think it's worth more to most people on eBay than a D123. While I personally love the D123 for guitar, the D123 doesn't have the power handling of the D120F, or the D130F "sound" that the D120F shares.

The seller is screwing himself by calling it a D123.
