the 2220 uses the following transistors (I guess you talk about the power amp section):

complementary power stage:
- 2SD188 M or L (NPN)
- 2SA627 M or L (PNP)

the driver stage uses:
- 2SC1509 P or Q (NPN)
- 2SA777 P or Q (PNP)

the A-stage uses:
- 2SC1509 P or Q (NPN)

PS: don't miss to test the thermal varistors, screwed on the heatsink. The Leads of them often break.

Just nabbed a Marantz 2220B and someone has robbed a couple of diode's I think from the board directly behind the tuner. Anyway would love to have a pdf copy of the Schematic for a 2220b. thanks for your help. email address [email protected]
