    L100T crossover picture

Can anyone provide a link to an actual picture of the correct crossover for the L100T speaker? I have a wiring schematic that has a drawing of the crossover, but the one in my speakers looks nothing like the drawing, so before I go into anything else I'd like to make sure I have the correct crossovers installed. Thanks.

    Thanks

Not sure how much of a diff it will make but I was correct, the crossovers in my speakers are not what you just showed me. Wondering if someone put generic crossovers in there or used another model.

    I'm guilty....

I did not read the entire thread regarding his speakers. I usually just skim for the fun stuff.

    ID numbers

I'm thinking someone may have put generic crossovers in, the only ID marks I can find would be a part number, but without knowing what brand it is that would probably be of no help to you. And yes I really only use a land based phone, so with my scanner dying I'm kinda on an island until I replace it.

Sometime during the run of the L**T series, JBL changed the style of their crossovers. The later versions have the components on a circuit board.
Here's a late style L80T crossover. The backside is green.

    Yep that's it

Thats the one I have.. Would that make such a big difference in sound ( on the negative side)? If not I'm back to square one Would that change how the speakers should be wired?

    Just noticed something

The tweeters on both speakers are not playing at all. According to the diagram the yellow/black wire should be on the left if looking at the back, however on the tweeters it is on the right, the fittings prevent hooking it the other way.

I tried just touching them the other way but nothing came out then either. The wire connections on the woofer are the type you just push the handle down and slide the wire in, but on the diagram it shows the same type as the tweeters. That ring a bell anyone?

I gather you don't have a multi-meter,check with your mates I bet some one has one.
Then you can check if they are open circuit or not
