I have two D23 electronic xovers....The are very flexible units.. Very low in distortion. Never had any problems...Had all the controlls cleaned with Cramolin & deoxit... Im looking for the other one in the picture (850) I understand there is a D24 xover havent seen that one.

    good to hear,

i've only noticed a handful of D23s cross the 'bay in the last few years...
(i'm looking for one of those)

(but i haven't been paying real close attention)

the 850s seen to be somewhat more common, no?

I saw one recently, practically NIB with complete documentation, extra pilots, etc.

(owner claimed he bought two, and would open the spare up twice a year to power up/check)

    sold for $660...

i picked one yesterday for a little less on a BIN, & am anxious to hear it....

Good that you found one..Its very versital...But if you find a D23 grab it fast its even better....They dont have a signiture of there own ,,very neutral.. If mine ever faild and i couldnt find another I,d probably slit my throat...I love them.

also another 850 on right now, ending Monday, Jul 30, 2007 15:40:31 PDT

they seem to hover right around $250 or so for an average unit, I think the $600 one was exceptional.... it had a bunch of extra factory lights, etc......

i hope my $60 one shows up.....

The Pioneer D-23 was a great sounding xover. It is all discrete, and very flexible, as Maron said.

They had these, several of them, in a legendary NYC club, The Saint. Very clean, clear, and free of distortion. And they were built to last. If you have one, they can be serviced if needed, and they perform as well today, as they did in 1981. At least I think so.

Selectable slopes, 6,12,18 as well as selectable xover points and output level attenuators make this xover very adaptable to any speaker you may have.
