FINALLY Got some L-46s !!!!!

I was on eBay and ran the search I normally run when I detected the scent of chum in the water.They were sitting on eBay for only 36 minutes with a BuyItNow at $135 They were very clean with the original surrounds still intact and located in Arizona which made shipping to LA tempting. I struck without hesitation.

I now only need a single L-112 for a center channel and I will have the 5.1 home theater speaker setup I have been waiting for!!

Nice catch. Rick Cobb's a great resource for the new surrounds. Be very careful with the terminals on the tweeters (support them from behind when re-attaching), they're quite fragile ( d'oh! ).

Let's compare notes once we're done with our 5.1 setups:

Wow Fred! That's a pile of L-46's! I have not heard an L-46 but I have heard they sound great would be a close match for my L-112s in the front.

This auction, mentioned in "Ad of the Day" has two L112s with the wrong woofers, might be worth it for you if the price doesn't climb:

Don't know how the L46 (034 tweeter) matches up with L112s (044 tweeter), but they did impress me for little 8" 2-ways. I had gotten 4 of them as a tip, then paid ~$150 for the last pair on E-Bay to make the set.

I'm getting ready to do this with my speakers. Got all the drivers just need the time for the finish. The L-46's in your system will sound great!

I bought the E-Bay L46s about a year ago, at least. Just needed the woofer surrounds. The ones I got for free were installed in air ducts, so they need a thorough cleaning, too. So far I've got all the surrounds done, and binding posts replacing the old terminals. Not much, but it'll happen.

Couldn't tell how close Burritofornia was to LA...actually, I still can't.
