    Large Horn Home Systems

Can't find the link to the web site that had all the "Giant" home systems. Most of them were horn loaded. Anyone still have the link?

The patina of the wood and the different styles just send me. Oh God,these aren't just music systems, they are trul works of art. I know I'm a few years in the late with the comments but geez... Mine are solid wood and have the old fabric andf all,but even the ones on legs just make me want to buy,buy,buy...they are just lovely.

I liked the Doom System. Unbelievably Great Stuff

    Close but..

There was one that was to a website mentioned that had nothing but the Big Systems. I remembered the one where the bass horns came in from out side the house (40 plus feet)

    PS

OK who ,from RCA, built the home system back in the 60's-70's that had 10 or 16 Cerwin Vega 18" built into the horns (3 front and 2 rear) that were part of the basement structure. Speaker Builders mag had pics of it the in early 70's.

OBJ, I think you may be referring to Thomas Dunker's Horn Speaker Home Page. It was the major stopping point for horn enthusiasts years ago. He had long lists of links to pictures and descriptions of extreme horn systems of all types.

All I could find on the web now is this page, last updated in 1999:

    http://www.omegav.ntnu.no/~dunker/horns.html

Most of the links are now dead. You might have some luck finding some of the good stuff on the Wayback Machine.

Thomas is still around, and is still investigating horn history and technology. I last corresponded with him a couple of years ago. Life just got too busy for him to maintain his site.
