I own 2 Altec 411-8a's that I use Subs with my JBL 4410's. The 411's were a pretty decent speaker in their time, they came out about the same time as the JBL 136. 4 inch edge wound copper voice coil almost an inch long and an 18hz fs.

I have used them in both sealed boxes and vented, and now as I said in a sealed box about 3 1/2 ft3, with eq. Analogous with the JBL B380.

Do you have 411's ? How do you want to use them ?

One other thought on vented Altec 411's

If you decide to use the 411's in a vented box, use a infrasonic filter of some kind. 411's will go subsonic and can be destroyed.
