Looky What I got/What The HECK was I Thinking

Yes, I bought these monsters today. One is loaded with 2 Altec 15s and a horn. The other is a GINORMOUS Electro-Voice speaker.

Maybe too many fairy tales has given you a weakness for friendly giants?

    Hope you enjoy them!

    Married! And very lucky.

The Home made job is loaded with two 15 inch Altec 803 Bs and a 802 C horn. I will dig into the EV later.

Nice speakers. You can do a couple of very nice old time mono hi-fis. The Altec will sound good with a Fisher 80-AZ amp.

    Hi Superbee,

By GINORMOUS EV speaker, are you perhaps speaking of the 30 inch EV woofer?

In that case, we've got to have some pics.

    Regards,

    Dood...

If you can, please up-load the actual pics into your post? We find that Links like these tragically expire, and the "history" is lost to the ages. I was gonna do it for you, but you still have time to edit your post.

Save the files from Image Village to your desktop.

make a post and edit - manage attachments - browse your hard drive and find the image, click OK, then Upload -

This file was only 61k - uploaded fine for me ...

Yea, that is not the way - I actually cannot get that to work either, but have not pursued the "what the hell is this for...!"

Below your reply/post text window, there is an "Manage Attachments" button. That is the area.

Follow Don's guidance as posted in the How to Add Images and Attachements to Posts. There's a bunch there...

    Briefly:
    1. Click "Manage Attachments" - that opens a new window
    2. Click "Brouse" - this takes you to your harddrive, where you mouse around to select the image/attachment file. Approved file types are indicated right above the "Manage Attachments" button.
    3. Select your file. "Open"
    4. Click "Upload" on far RH side. If the image is too large, or wrong, you'll get a failure notice. Sizing is the biggest hassle. Go into Paint and use the "Image Stretch/Skew" and reduce each Horizontal and Vertical by the same proportion (typically 35% works for me). This maintains the aspect ratio - no stretching or distortion.
    5. "Close Window"
    6. You are put back at your reply/post and then hit "Save" as per usual...
