    846A Valencia Restoration

Well, I took Tom's old drivers from this project.

Found some new cabinets in Ohio, had them shipped here, and had the new cabinets freshened up. They were in great condition to begin with, couple of small issues, had them stripped, and re-stained, and re-assembled back to factory spec and looks. They came out great, not perfect but they look 1000 times better than before.

Another pair of Altec history kept alive.

    Hello Duffinator,
They sound very nice. The listening room is not the greatest, and using receiver power to run them. I would like to get them in the house and run an amp through them, but I do not think that will happen before they are gone.
Kinda tired of bring down the big Nak from upstairs, it's a tad heavy. They are solid though, did some extras on the re-assemble. Sealed up the rear panel for leaks and rattles, and used lock washers on all the drivers, so nothing is going to come loose. Also replaced the plastic feet with metal furniture feet, for easy moving around.

Thank you for the compliments everyone.

Yes they are for sale, for Tom has been converted to JBL, and that story is in another post.

    They are on e-bay........
