    Question Breaking in recones

Any tips for breaking in 2235H recones? Did a search but couldn't find much under the search parameters I used.

Just play them. Find some material with good bass extension sit back and enjoy. You could always dump 30Hz into them from a signal generator. Run them out of phase to keep the noise down for a couple of hours, that should work. Just watch the X-Max if you do this. I find the other alternative more fun.

Now that sounds like something I can handle.

    Thanks,

Same-same for new cones. Be patient. I installed a new pair of 2245's, and was surprised at how long break-in was (home, middle-aged listening environment ). Sure, they sounded fine at the outset, but nothing like they did 6- and 12-months later...
