    4435 help

can anyone tell me the impedence value of the petentiometer (Lpad thingy) ?

What is the heat needed to remove the foilcal? . Will a blow dryer be hot enough ?

    many thanks in advance, Rich

    Mid is an 8-Ohm L-Pad, 30W minimum.

High is a 30-Ohm wirewound potentiometer.

I just use the series leg (pins 2 & 3) of a 16-Ohm L-Pad for that, which varies from 0 - 16 Ohms. Using the other leg, which does go to 30+ Ohms, it adjusts backwards.

The HF is usually set close to zero, anyway. 8 Ohms gives me enough adjustability, actually, with better resolution. I could always add a resistor in series for more attenuation.

If I was to be anal about it, I'd use a stereo 16-Ohm and wire the series legs in series for 32 Ohms total.

[Or find the stupid pot.... ]

Don't know about hair dryer. Try it.

[I use a bona fide heat gun here....]

No L-Pads there I can find.

I use the 100W ones from Parts Express.

Don't need 100W, but they're better made than the 50W.

Guido'll know where to get L-Pads over there....

    foilcal removal

Rich, hairdryer will work fine. The foilcals are thicker then others say like L65's or L112's just go easy with them. I had harder regluing mine then removing them...
