    Quadrex is Back!

I popped into the Harman Suite at CES and was happy to see that all of the current favorites from JBL are still being produced and supported. Mark Levinson and all Harman high end electronics is moving to a new facility back in Connecticut. The Everest DD67000 were being demo'd and sounding great. I had hoped to see or hear the M2s... they were universally praised but not on display.

The item that really caught my eye and imagination was a new product from JBL Consumer. The L16. This is a self powered stereo reproducer that has built in wireless connectivity, but most amazingly it even has a built in phono preamp! Happily, unlike the plastic products from Framingham, this little sucker actually sounded good!

yup ..saw those a bit back (lots of pix here==>> http://www.freshnessmag.com/2014/01/...peaker-system/

and couldn't help thinking that real L-16's at about $100 a pair would blow it away, but w/o the coolness factor.

    there's a L8 too ...($400 cheaper)

Perhaps, though I was really surprised just how good they sounded and unlike almost any all in one unit, there was an actual stereo image!

And don't forget you are getting a phone charger too!

You had to pay extra for the 075s in the Bel-Aire too... nice to have the options.
