    I'm not too familiar with Mingus. I am copying records to CD for a friend. A lot of what he has is before my time. I've found a lot of interesting stuff in there so far. I still have most of this collection to check out. I'm sure there are many great things to discover in there.

    If you would like to hear more of Jaco Pastorius, look for Joni Mitchell's Shadows and Light DVD. He's on it, and it's good.

    mingus is definitely worth exploring..............its jazz but as he was a texan his stuff contains elements of blues,gospel,and mexican...........and he can swing
