The first three pictures are from the reception held in the lobby at the Academy of Mortion Picture Arts and Sciences Pickford Center for Motion Picture Studies. George Augspurger can be seen in the first and third pictures in the black jacket and jeans. The fourth picture is of Garry Margolis (former vice president of JBL International) and David Smith (designer of the 4430/4435 monitors). The fifth picture is of David Smith, Lorr Kramer (product manager for the L212) and Greg Timbers.
The next series of pictures is from the actual tribute held in the center's theatre. The first two are of Tomlinson Holman (responsible for the development of the THX standard) followed by a picture of Garry Margolis and two of Mark Gander (current JBLpro vice president of marketing). Mark was kind enough to put up a picture of John and I as part of his presentation and mention John's involvement in our site.

I like the picture of John Eargle in the studio with the Urei 525 crossover on the shelf, MY favorite sounding xover!
