    Vintage happiness

I just needed to post a sot of the new to our house C37 Rhodes that is now keeping company with a Harkness cousin. I can't wait to get them running together!

Very nice, but since one is horn loaded and the other is a reflex I
expect you might have to tweak the eq a bit also the Harkness
appears to have the 001 system installed (check the rear x-over
for N1200). The C37 could possibly house a single D130 (again check
the rear...no x-over signifies one way extended range driver.

How 'bout some more pics with the backs removed and an update

    Bel aire,
the Rhodes has a 16 ohm 01 package, with the D130A, the 175dlh, and the N1200. I think it is from 57 or prior, as it is a veneered plywood - no fibreboard.
The Harkness may be a fullrange. I only recently figured out I need to pull the bottom cleat to release the grille weave. Until then, I'm not running it. I have an 8 ohm 175 I can drop in, but I want to figure out what the woofer is first before I do anything.

To my untrained eye, the C37 looks like it has an LE175DLH and a 130A, or 001 as you said. The Harkness obviously has a D130 with aluminum dome but no sign of the 030's 075. Regardless, either load in either cabinet was an available option at some time. Seemingly the 130A was more common in the C40, and the D130 in the C37 from what I've seen. Very pretty, either way. Let's see more of the guts. Nice find.
