Hey guys, i saw a few books listed here in the forums but what would be a good book for someone new to stereo and speaker design. i would love to learn more about how to build systems that sound good. thanks.

I would suggest that any of the most basic books will likely leave you wanting more, but
if you're just testing the water, then something like the old radio-shack "weems" book
(or something similar) might be worth checking out of the library...
A lot of the Technical Notes here are a good read as well, and many are worded in
laymen's terms.

thanks man, i main goal is to learn about the components involved in home stereos, amps, speakers, recievers and so on, and what to do with each one to make a good sounding system, thanks
I would recommend one of the first books that you should get is "The loudspeaker design cookbook" by Vance Dickason, followed by "Testing Loudspeakers" by Joseph D'Appolito. Both of which are excellent resources.
