Hello from Serbia & Montenegro !!!

    Hello everybody!
I'm sending this message from city of Novi Sad, Serbia & Montenegro, Eastern Europe.
In attachment I'm sending you picture of my speakers
    that we built in 1995.
As you can see, speakers were made from JBL Pro series transducers and drivers by KARAN ACOUSTICS (www.karanacoustics.com). (2245H, 2206H, 2426H, 2404H)

    That's all for now.
    Bye from Novi Sad.

Wow!! Those are very impressive! Did you design them? What is the crossover / network you use?

    Don - you looking? lol

    Exactly my very first thought

How do I get that kind of finish on a pair of 4313B's?

    We designd everything.
    From network to box.
Network is passive, made with high quality MKP-QS condensers and air-core inductors. Boxes are made of specially made sandwich MDF plates with piano-black finish. Piano black finish is achieved with specially 2-component acryl paint which is later polished with three different polish pastes nad with SuperFine Grain Wet Sand Papaer 2000 at the end.
Then it is polished and waxes with specially wax for piano black finish.
All of that were done in 1995 and till today the look exactly as they looked nine years ago.

Now we are planning to build system four times as this (something like Infinity IRS V)
    It will have 4x2245H + 4x2206H + 4x2426H + 4x2404H per channel
and it will have electronic crossover (we are considering even DSP based digital crossover fully 24-bit / 192kHz) driving eight to twelve KaranAcoustics 1200W/8ohm monoblocks.
All of that should be placed in listening room 8m x 12m x 3m.

which are the transducers you have there?

    Uuups...
Do you have a good doctor or a nurse in range for the bleeding ears?
Sounds oneself violently. I thought I am crazy if I add four 2245h to my system...

About the DSP I think also straight. Have you already a solution? I will test a Linux based software solution shortly.

    nearly the same
    2344/2426J
    2206H
    and 4530 with 2226H

But now I have changed the 2404 with 2405 (it sounds a little bit better)

    Next time I add 4 2245H to reach the magic 20Hz borderline...AND a DSP...

    look here:

    Stunning visual impact, dood!!

Have you tried bi-amping these? Running the 2245H's seperately from the rest of the tribe? You might find your planned "upgrade" to be not so immediate of a need...
