Hi, I have a set of 811B horns with 902-8A compression drivers. The 811B originally came with 802-8G divers. What are the differences between the 802 and 902? And which are more desireable? Thanks

Between the 802G and 902 the main difference is the magnet material; Alnico in the 802 and ferrite for the 902.
The 802-G is highly valued by some Alnico cultists because it was the last Alnico 802, it appears the 802-G is the most highly valued Altec 1" driver. Supposedly the 802-G used a lighter diaphragm for more extended highs but then so it appears do some 902s.
As far as sound goes I can't tell a lick of difference with my Model Nineteens whether I use my 802-Gs in them or my 902 8-Bs.
