I love the DIY lense(s) nested inside the Valencia(s) .

Guido: most of them, you have seen....but not heard

Earl: at this time (in cause of the use of 2470) there are 2370a horns in them. Not very good fitting to a lens like this.....I know....but the hole is closed. The lens do a good job.
In earlier times there were DIY steel horns made from 2mm steel sheets, built like the first horns Jim Lansing made in the 40s, fitting to the 2441 (2441 now on top of the scoops).
The steel horns I coated with sprayed material normaly used for antinoise in cars. I sold them some years ago.

You should be ashamed of yourself ---- you cannot listen to all of those lovely speakers at the same time or is that the time alligned arangement. What does Zilch say about your 19 way x/over. ? Time to spread some joy and sell what you do not need.

I showed that picture to my wife last night.
Hm... she said. Who is this guy ?
The lad who got my into the the forum I said.

    " Fruehjahrsputz " she cried.

Now I got to do the same thing and remove all empty beer bottles that
    might be hiding there.

    Great show Hanspeter.

the idea for doing this pic came to my friends and me two years ago.
It should be also a homage to the Pink Floyd reminder for the Vietnam war in the late 60s.
Some of you may remember an often printed pic of an US fighter airplane with all the weapons presented on the ground in front of the plane.....cannot find it now, hope that someone of you can find this picture.
Pink Floyd used this theme for their wonderful picture with all the musical instruments.

The work to position the cabs in my courtyard was a hard one....and believe it or not......wifey helped a lot. Maybe that "out of house, out of sight" came to her mind

    From front to back:
    - 2 Klipsch Heresy
    - 2 DIY 4333A, with Bo's blue color and soon with new crossovers and L-Pads
    - 2 4435
    - 2 2004 project speakers with the serpentines on top 2241, 2441,2202 and 2402
    - 2 Altec Valencia Cabinets with JBL drivers, 2205H, 2470, 2405 and DIY lens
    - 2 4530 scoops with 2395 and 2402, driven active
    - 1 center Klipschorn , used as Subbass for the Heresys

Hope you had fun with this pic

    SWEET!!!!

Now that's what I call an impressive display of firepower...and
I'm not refering to the fighter.

    Your 4333"s are ecpecially nice

One question....are these all on display in your listening room?

it reminded me of Hofmannhp's homage to the Ummagumma back cover.

After Pink Floyd's 16 May 1970 performance at The Warehouse in New Orleans, the equipment shown on the rear cover of Ummagumma was stolen. The remaining concerts on this U.S. tour were cancelled. After the theft, and the Grateful Dead's drug bust after their 31 January 1970 performance, also at The Warehouse; New Orleans was shunned by most rock bands for the first half of the 1970s. The Grateful Dead would not play in New Orleans for another 10 years. Pink Floyd wouldn't play there for another 24 years.

Ah, but that bust of the Dead and their sound system being held by the NOLA police led to Jerry Garcia being first introduced to Bob Heil of Heil Sound. The Dead were to play the next night at the Fox in St. Louis (see foto sent me by Bob Heil), and were system-less. Heil stepped up with a system and started a long-term relationship with the band that continues today.

Heil also introduced Jerry to the concept of foldback (monitors), which was not a technique in wide use at the time.
