Welcome to the JBL Lansing site.

Aren’t those the JBL 250Ti? Nice room mate.

thanks. Yes, that are the Jubilees which I bought new in 2001.

There is only a chair, two speakers, a amp and a beamer in the room.
    That's enough.

Newly I compared them in my room with the Canton Reference 2.2 which are available for a good price in Europe. They are similar to this one :
    http://www.stereophile.com/floorloudspeakers/755/

The Cantons look impressive with their weight of 163lbs and the large woofers. So I thought they could sound as good as my 250TI.

After 30 seconds listening, i switched anything off, because it sounded like I forgot the wires for the low frequencies or there was something not in-phase.

When I saw, that everything was wired correctly, I was really shocked.
The 2.2 sounded like a mid size shelf speaker compared to my 250's.
I checked a few different positions for the 2.2, but it was really shocking.
There was nothing. Only the question : For what in the hell do they need such a large housing?

When I run my Jubilee out-of-phase, they are producing more bass than the 2.2.

So i hope my 250TI Jubilee will last forever

    Regards
    Rob
