    Audio Research EC-21 Electronic Crossover

    Hello All,

Does annyone here have any experience or comments on the EC21 valve electronic crossover. If by some miracle someone had the crossover component values chart I would be grateful for a copy or link

a bit inconvenient, considering the time difference, but call 'em and
you'll probably talk to Leonard... or perhaps consult with a local dealer
    (if feasible).

Often, there's useful info here (sort of a "fan" site):

    Thanks Jim and Grumpy,

I have tried their website on the EC-21, but the info is not that detailed. I supppose a phone call in the dead of night or email is the way to go.

    Hi Joe,

Email would be nice, but I don't believe they offer responding to email as
an option at this time... -grumpy

I am curious about the ARC EC-21.

The low pass is active and the hi pass is passive.
    Slopes are either 6db or 18 db/octave.

    Has anyone tried 18 db/octave on a 43xx monitor ?

I am thinking about using an EC-21 to biamp my pair of 4333b.

    Opinions ?

    Thanks Ian,

It's interesting you should say that. Trevor is a really nice guy-

    Embarrassing story follows....

Many years ago Trevor was cleaning out some of his Audio Literature and came upon the EC21 crossover chart. He knew I had just got one and made sure he gave it to me. Then our renovations started... and that piece of paper has not been seen since-gobbled up into storage somewhere. I am sure it will turn up when I don't need it on my next clean out.

    Thanks for the thought
