Where to find details on how to replace diaphragm (2118 Midrange)

I have a couple 8-in. 2118H midranges from a Cabaret 4612B. One sounds buzzy, the other has a damaged dust dome, sounds sort of telephony, but otherwise not buzzy. I'm thinking I could swap the diaphragm from the damaged dust dome one into the buzzy one and maybe get at least one good speaker out of it. But I have never tired this before. I need a COMPLETE guide to changing diaphragms. Can't seem to find it with Search. Any tips? What test equip I need, etc.. Thanks

That's because there isn't one. That would fall into reconing territory....factory recone kits are only available to JBL Authorized Service Agencies and not for sale over the counter....but you might get lucky and find one on eBay.

If you attempt what you've explained in your post, your chances of success are pretty much zero.
