The numbers keep rising, and soon we'll top 7000 members.
Latest at 6,920 is cuzimhot, which is either "(Be)Cause I'm hot" or "Cous(in), I'm hot." Whatever. We get some odd monikers, to be sure. Some turn out to be spammers or trolls, but the numbers go up nonetheless.
If you had any idea how many of those new members are spammers you would be surprised. Haven't you noticed that the number of people posting has not changed significantly?? I have decided to become proactive and have been "Profiling" new members. On some days you may only get 5 out of 20 new members that are legitimate. If they are obvious spammers they are banned before they can post. I need to talk to Don and Widget but I would like to dump the majority of the zero posters with no activity for over a year. If you go digging some are spam accounts previously set-up. Some are years old. We have about 500 members waiting in the registration email return que as well, same deal except lots of obvious spammers there.
