VTL makes a wonderful amp- reliable, dynamic, and engaging (so I have heard). While I have never owned one, I can say that many people prefer the VTL amps that were part of the Manley legacy. Apparently, he was instrumental in building the VTL reputation and the ones he designed (before leaving the company) were supposedly "superior" to all VTL amps that followed. The ichibans look pretty damned impressive, though.

I think it's a fitting amp. Give her a go!

Um, there's STILL a Manley in charge of VTL...

Holy Tube Set, Batman! What a crazy-ass chick. I'd love to hang with her. I think the rumors that things went down at Manley after Disappearing David left town are grossly misogynist statements. I've seen and heard before and after products, and I'd prefer a newer "Hutch" one any day.

It looks to me like EveAnna put the "Man" in Manley and keeps it there to this day.

I think EveAnna Manley is the greatest. She invited me to attend meetings of the Sapphire Group shortly after the Lansing Heritage site was founded. I've reported to the Group on our site's activities, and met people there that have contributed greatly to our research. I haven't been to a meeting in a loooong time, but EveAnna keeps me on the monthly email list.
