2226 is not an extended-bass woofer.

    2235 is.

Option: Use 2226 and add sub(s).

Depends upon the application which is the best choice.

Four bullets a side tells me you're doing a dance club rig.

2235 is not an appropriate choice for that....

Why do you want 16ohm woofers instead of 8ohm?

to run 8 speakers together on my Itech 8000 at 8 ohms in brigde mono. The itech has a wierd output due to its DSP compensating....

    http://www.crownaudio.com/pdf/amps/137444.pdf

8 - 8 ohm speakers config....then i'd have to run it 7000 watts at 4 ohms.........16 ohms drivers allow me to run amp nice and cool at 8 ohms....8000 watts........2226's run optimal at twice the AES (1200 wts each)....or so the JBL company techs tell me......also these are for club music not theater.

also ive found that 2226J's ive bought of ebay are usually in mint condition from theater applications in fixed installs from people like you guys who take care of thier cabinets. 2226h's of ebay usually come beat up and abused from rodie's throwing them in and out of the weather and backs of trucks, lol.
