thought the stones last good album was "Tatoo You". Michael who ? Elton John after "Tumbleweed Connection", lost me. Even the Zepp's last couple were not up to par....

    The J. Geils Band
    Nugent
    KISS
The Chambers Brothers, (only because they were a bunch of jerks!)
Rush, although Neil Peart is one hell of a drummer!
    Taylor Hicks
Aerosmith, they were better when they were using drugs!

You obviously never met them in person! I'm not saying I don't like their music just that they were JERKS!

the stones just went in directions i dont care for and later on they just lost it all together.growing up guys where i lived could relate to the stones ,animals, barbarians, etc, where the beatles were just too damn cute.but we came back after revolver sgt pepper etc.i still like the title track from madman across the water and funeral for a friend but elton lost me after that.led zep up to physical grafitti, and mccartney fell off the radar pretty quick w/o lennon.

Yeah too many silly love songs for me. I liked RAM and Band on the Run and then???? I couldn't stand Kiss but I like Rush and Styx so go figure?? Funny how personal music is and how some of what you like and dislike doesn't really make sense. Lot's of contradictions.

I saw Sir Paul at Arco Arena in Sacramento at the end of 05 and it was one of the best shows I have ever experienced, bar none! At 63 he actually pulled off The Magical Mystery Tour and Helter Skelter, AWESOME! That said, his more recent studio stuff is not my cup of tea.

saw humble pie live and despite the poor sound quality was a great show.genesis live,(the album) i liked but after gabriel's departure noooooooo.......phil collins on his own is fm fodder, but rod the mod, check out truth...jeff beck and maybe gasoline alley and every picture.........after that no go.van halen's first record was what i used to use to blast guests to the back wall, but they lost me after that.live in 80 they were great tho..........

there is a lot of great country out there but the focus seems to be on the fm country radio factory stuff.just for starters check out townes, hank sr,merle, well both merles, lovett, emmylou, willies old stuff, waylon. then make an appointment with my secretary for a follow up visit.i love the way the old country stuff leads to blues and gospel.the simplicity of some of the songs seems to bring out all of the richness in the voices and the subtleties of steel guitars etc.i recently watched cash at san quentin and when he does peace in the valley it is a real moment.i think that it was The Band that really kicked open the door for me and led to a ton of great stuff
