*Well, actually their one song "Hiss Pissle" ain't bad.
Nope! I did not get my share of juvenile delinquency's. Instead, in the 1930's we had Dust Storms so bad you couldn't see your hand in front of your face in Kansas, We had Depression & Poverty & Hunger, but with the RCA Radiola Consoles with four push pull--parallel type (45) triode vacuum tubes & magnificent field coil speakers, & huge paper & metal-foil filter capacitors, we enjoyed the music of professional musicians like Glen Grey & his fabulous tune "No Name Jive," & Sweet Martha Tilton singing with Glen Miller & Don Allen's orchestras, Tommy Dorsey's "Getting Sentimental over you," & Jimmy Dorsey, Kay Kyser & his fabulous "tune "Scatter Brain", Henry Busse's orcheastra,& Matty Malnick on the Hammond Nova Chord Organ which sported 200 vacuum tubes. You had to be a very good professnal musician to get on a label.
These musicians were recorded on fabulous 16 inch wide range vertical cut transcriptions for Radio Broadcast Music Leased Library Service with play back quality superior to any modern stereo LP of today. You could of course buy the 78 records with built in abrasive to immediately wear down the steel needle to fit the groove, good for only two or three play backs before the needle became blunt.
You do not know what you missed 70 yeara ago, like gasoline for 10 cent a gallon.
Cheers herki the cat
1st time I bought it it was 0 .19/gallon. 8 oz cokes were 0.20; so you dont have the corner on crotichness (is that a word?)
BTW ya gotta love the Beatles as they really were the first group to go Big Time; heck I remember the record burnings..."we're more popular than Jesus".
Heck when I was 18 CCR's Jeremiah was a Bull Frog...
nuff said....
then again I don't do XM, so these guys don't get overplayed for me. I just load up an IPOD; and deafen myself.

I'm a big CCR fan..dont think they ever did that.....mebbe you are thinking of 3 Dog Night "Joy to the World" ??
Three Dog Night Joy To The World lyrics
Jeremiah was a bullfrog
Was a good friend of mine
I never understood a single word he said
But I helped him a-drink his wine
And he always had some mighty fine wine
Singin'...
Joy to the world
All the boys and girls now
Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea
Joy to you and me
OBTW : Hoyt Axton did a great version of that on the "JBL Sessions" LP's.
Some kind of happiness is measured out in miles
FlatBurgers
ChimiChangas
Tha Puddlys*
I got a bunch!
* But does anyone know where I can get a copy of their "Hang 'em High" CD?
So if everyone here on LHF hates pretty much every band and artist that ever existed, I guess then everyone just plays pink noise for entertainment.
Pink Noise?
Thanks, I forgot that band - I don't like them either!
Rap, regeatton, "boyz bands", opera, country music.
