    Turn it up.........

    Four JBL 4311 studio monitors.

Four 7' tall Altec Lansing 210 Voice of the Theatre cabinets w/ wings. Got four A4's or two A2's depending on how you bolt them together.

Sold the eight original 60 watt Altec 515B's and eight 400 watt JBL 2225's are
going in their place. Gonna go w/ the big 2360a or 2365a JBL horns and not sure which comp. drivers. 2445/6's ? 2441's ?? If I can afford them.......... maybe TAD. And a pair of 2405 slots for way up high.

One Rane AC23 three way stereo / five way mono electronic x-over.
One 430 w/ ch. (into 4 ohms) Adcom amp.
One 50 w/ ch. (into 8 ohms) Alesis amp.
    One 10 band / ch. eq. (+/- 15db)
    One SAE parametric eq.
One Sony 100 w/ ch. receiver
    One Nakamichi cassette deck
    One X-Box
One Panasonic AG1950 hi-fi VCR w/ remote editing system

Need one 12 or 16 ch. rack mount mixer + 1 more amp.

Springtime projects include laying down some type of nice woodgrain veneer (on the horn part only) of the big 210 cabinets. Think it will look cool.....

My systems are built from my DIY projects

I'm a DIY audio enthusiast seeking for common interest member.
ec1288 website publishes DIY HiFi Audio articles for the interests of the DIY audio enthusiast. Most of my projects are targetted on hard to find or expensive hi-end stuff. Reason being they are no longer in production or too costly to own them. If you really want to own them at a fraction of their retail price, you have to DIY.

Take at look at :- http://www.geocities.com/ec1288/

My systems are built from my DIY projects include Audio Note Ongaku amplifier, Pass Labs Aleph 5 amplifier, Altec Lansing A5 VOTT loudspeaker and Genesis ribbon and NHT 1259 loudspeaker.

It would be tough to give any of them up, but I'd have no choice but to keep
    the L220's.

    Hi, wonderfull JBL club !!!

i hesitate a little bit to present my system because I dont know what is part of vanity in this action, but after read entire tread, I understand the JBL enthousiasm is the real feeling and it more for give and receive experience and more understand the profile guy...

Well, It is my turn to present my actual system...

first ...the music : over 3000 disc vinyl and CD in all style...

I have a old turntable Micro-seiki RX-1500 with complete set-ut, mass motor , vacuum plate, base with choke air feets. The weight is 325 Lbs. The arm is Moerch DP 6 With vertical ajustment... The cartridge is Van den Hull Colibri

The preamp and amp is Accuphase E-306 with phono stage , ( My last big krell amp, preamp and separate reference phono stage is complete ridiculized by this small integrate!!!) $#%%?&?& What a money in garbage.

The interconnect is the referrence Van den hul silver IT lf half meter.

The cable speaker is SCSI 2 of van den hull.

I have a Accuphase power AC conditionner (astronomical price but just the best.)

My CD is the SCD -1 of Sony (sacd) with interconnect VDH Silver balanced..

my familly room is 12 X 26 feets, and the front wall is treated by RPG diffractal...

After 20 years and hundred experiences in many way, after a tousand reading magasine expert, I'm buidt a very strong frustration on voodu expertise, stupid remark and insanity commentary of reports is foward more to buy and buy an buy again... I decide to go in source and read a scientific university information, ISO, AnSI, norme, and instrumentals mesure material. In this quest, I found a Bruel & Kjaer !!! ALL my money is go in this way for couple of years but WOW The top of the world system analyse... So I read for acoustic romm equalization, and vibration problem, in architecture and electronic material, modal, mode dispersion , etc, etc... Of course my experience in Audiophile coupled by instrumental method and expertise Is permit to put a real responses on many problematic reproduction sound... and put a degree of problem by other... (So this is reason of my nameForum).

" the true exist!! search with appropriate tool, you go more close "

But I'M back to descrition system for conclusion !!

my Speaker (after my REGA, after Dynaudio Compound 4 is A fantastical L-300 mounted in gibraltar stand ( 450 Lbs of quarzt sand inside a big wood stand and granit slab on the sit on sand.) Unfortunately this speaker is as my friend. But is create my great love for JBL... So after scan around I finnaly buy a pair of 4343 rougly treament.

The speaker is originally in studio Moronight in Quebec. After, is go in barLounge and fixed in wall by side with big iron stand and big hole is side of speaker... recone with third part the speaker is finnally storage in garage for more 2 year.

I reconditionning the body, sand and put a new film of wood, recone the 15 and 10 driver, clean all contact and Lpad, and adapt a big connector for my cable. And put a feets for more convenience...

    just love ....

I hope I contribute a little bit to give my passion of great big monitor studio JBL " the real stuff " less cosmetical presentation on this mode of life style, but better real sound of any smoke and mirror products...

Hi B&K, from Yr pic, it looks like You have Yr monitors in some sort of spikes, IMO:

Spikes are good if You have a carpet so they will penetrate it and anchor to the floor; If You decouple the speaker cabinets it is auto-defeating, might as well hang the speakers with macramé, (late 70's idiotic Bosy); apart from that slight point, Your system is great.
