    mon system

    bonjour

    a+

Sinon, as tu essayé d'autres gros monitors jbl ? Remplis ton profil.
    Happy new year !!!!!!!!

    Cool Translate, Herve

Great Herve, please say it in english !

My "small" parts of HiFi !

Living room : A pair of L 90 wit a huge Bandpass sub with two 2205A drivers going down to 30-35 Hz.
    What a shame !
I only bought the L90, because they fix(?) with this furniture.
No other room to put speakers anywhere.

    Talking JBL Everywhere

    This is exciting!

Except for the L100 Century speakers, none of my JBLs are "classic" in the sense that most of the hard core JBL fans here desire. However, you'll see a cross-section of fine JBL products that don't enjoy the cachet of the more highly regarded speakers. My JBLs form an interesting counterpoint to the speakers most often talked about here, and I think they represent some of the high points of JBL's overlooked engineering and design.

In my home, I subscribe to a JBL-modified version of England’s imperative for Global Empire: JBL Everywhere!

    Main HT/Music System: Cinema Beatrice

    JBL Peformance Series System

I'm a new member who's moved into a fixer-upper house. Luckily, my wife let me put the two channel stereo in our bedroom (without the subs) until I get the basement finished. Nothing fancy, but here's everything I own in no particular order:

    Speakers:
    • Legacy Focus Speakers, Main
    • Legacy Silver Screen, Center
    • Legacy MIST, Surround
    • JBL Control 1, Garage
    • JBL Control 1, Kitchen
    • JBL 240Ti, Presently in process of being sold
    • (2) JBL 2245H Subs, each in a 12 cubic foot box, tuned to 22Hz per Audio magazine article by Lorr Kramer and Greg Timbers. I wish to build two more for a total of four. Yes, I'm nuts!
    • Large Advents, Vinyl Cabinets
    • Audio Control Richter Scale III Crossover, 40Hz
    • Adcom GTP-760 Pre/Pro
    • Adcom GFP-555 Pre, Second System Not Set Up
    • Adcom GFA-565 Monoblocks (4) biamping FOCUS
    • Adcom GFA-555 II (2) bridged mono for Subs
    • Adcom GFA-545, Center Channel
    • Adcom GFA-535, Surrounds
    • Adcom GFA-535, Second System Not Set Up
    • Marantz 2235B Receiver, Kitchen
    • Pioneer SX-950 Receiver, Garage
    • Rotel RCD-855 CD Player (yes, it's old)
    • Philips CD Recorder
    • Philips DVD Player
    • RCA DTC-100 HDTV Receiver
    • Marantz 110 Tuner, Second System Not Set Up
    • Denon Cassette Deck. I miss my old TEAC A-150!
Basically, only the FOCUS, one pair of GFA-565's, the GTP-760, and the Rotel CD player (just used as a transport) is set up in the bedroom along with 8 DIY 16" x 48" tube traps. Once I get the basement finished, the 2245H's with their cabinets will be flush mounted in the wall. I hope to get a decent projector, a nice turntable (Rega P3?) and maybe a Crown K2 for the subs. The K2 has an incredible damping factor and no fan, so I think it may smoke the GFA-555's that I was using on them before moving.

Believe it or not, when I purchased the 240Ti's new in 1987, my wife tried to convince me to spring for the 250Ti's, but I thought the ~$3,500 was too much at the time. I've kicked myself ever since!!! Had I bought them, I'd still have them and wouldn't have had to spring for the FOCUS. That would have saved me enough to by another 8 2245H's .

Here's some info on me: http://www.vollmerrocks.com/ I'm the bald guy hiding behind the 28" bass drum.

    Steve

    Amps Crown PS200 and 2 150 Series 2

Center channel is an home built Urie 811C powered by a strapped Crown 150

Rears are L20t soon to be upgraded to 2118 and 2404 powered by reciever front L/R

System control I am using a Sony ES reciever GA8ES as my preamp and have Urei 839 for EQ L/C/R and use a jbl M552 and M553 as my active crossovers.

AR HO12 LFE sub to be upgraded to a third LE-14 sub. CD player Sony CA70ES and SACD Sony 755 Vinyl when set up uses a old Technics SU-A6 preamp and either an Empire 698 or a Dual 5000 with a Shure V-15 4
