Actually, that's not terribly far from what I do for a living. Our systems control home audio, video, climate control, lighting, motorized window shades, furniture, walls, you name it...not quite smoothly voice-activated, but smoothly touch-screen activated (think ATM of your dreams). We do give some clients a single button at their entry doors that can turn on the lights throughout their house to an appropriate level for the time of day, turn on music throughout to their favorite playlist, and start filling their hot tub to their preferred temperature.
