The 2435H and 435Be use the same beryllium diaphragm. Additionally, the 435Be diaphragm is coated with aquaplas to damp spurious resonances for Home Hi-Fi applications.
Both compression drivers have 100 ul of APGS38N ferrofluid in the gap. The ferrofluid provides some damping and seals off cavity resonances. Without the ferrofluid the curve gets rougher and it is audible. - Courtesy of Doug Button - JBL
The 2435H is finicky as to what wave guides it works with because the phasing plug is so short. - Courtesy of Doug Button - JBL
