    Unhappy The word from JBL

The LE14H-1 woofers in a NOS state are no more. Here is the direct answer from JBL, and we all know the current word on re-cone kits, not ava. at this time either.

    Hi

Thank you for your inquiry. These speakers are great. However, the
drivers for your speakers are no longer available. Fortunately, we still
support these speakers. You can have the drivers re-coned, restoring
them back to their original condition.
Re-coning is something that can be done by any of our factory authorized
service centers. These service centers have been trained by JBL and are
able to perform this procedure to our specifications.
A drivers frame and magnet will virtually never wear out, but the moving
components (surround, cone, spider, voice coil, etc.) will. Re-coning
replaces all of these moving components. The service center will remove
all old components from the frame and magnet and replace them with brand
new components, restoring your driver to its original condition and
    sound.
This is not inexpensive to do, but definitely worth it, as replacing
this entire speaker system with a comparable speaker system would be
    considerably more expensive.
If you would like to have your drivers re-coned, please call
516-255-4525 and then follow the prompts for SERVICE CENTERS. Please
specify Recone Centers. They will be able to refer you to the people
that can work on your speakers for you, as well as give you pricing. You
can also proceed to www.jbl.com, and follow the product support link.
    Thanks

    Sincerely

    Parts Department
