    close but no cigar

    No

The 2217H's frame has thicker metal where the mounting holes are and are bullnosed ( rounded off ). And if I remember right, the frame depth is a little different but I don't have a 2217 around to compare at the moment.

The Nd version ( 1400PRO ) has *two* mounting holes on each corner.

What about the hole diameter?? I am going to be cutting some wood and the clearance on the frame is quite tight. Don't want to screw it up. Heres a shot of the LE-14H-3. Look's like how you describe the other driver?? Is that what you meant??

    Thanks Rob

    I think the LE14H-3 had a .280 top plate while the 2217 had a .320 top plate.
I think I remember the LE14H-3 core being unique.
    I could be wrong.

Use two framing squares as a large calipers and measure the cutout. The Jasper Jig does 16th inch increments if I'm not mistaken.

    THWANK

I stand corrected - I was comparing the frame to the -1 and -2's which have traveled thru the shop on occasion. The -3 does look identical to the 2217.

And you might want to use aluminum framing squares...the steel ones might be a little hard to control near the magnet..

I made a special cutout jig for the older 14's and if I remember the 2217 was larger but that might be because of the wrinkle paint?
