    Jbl 2227h

Was there something inherently wrong with the 2227H - it seems it did not last to long in the lineup?

    Thank you,

    Bill

No body liked a big ass 15" for a mid bass speaker.

If I remember correctly, the 2227 was marketed for use in stage/floor monitor applications as well as for mid bass reinforcement. There are alot of established alternatives on the market for mid bass and floor/stage monitor applications the 2227 went up to bat against durring its short-lived presence on the JBL Professional product line. Besides, many people don't usually picture a big-ass 15 inch driver for mid-bass applications (to paraphrase Maron Horonzakz).

    Regards,
    Charley
