    My custom A7 (825) VOT

Slow day at work, so thought I'd throw up a pic of my living room. The 825 cabinets are inverted with the horn inside. These are walnut veneered with solid walnut bases. Inside they run 416-8C, 511B and 802-8G (w/tangerine phase plug). Very efficient and a beautiful sounding speaker. I did dampen the horn with some lead shot.

Hell to get old. I totally forgot about posting that. Sorry for the dup, but I still love that system.

Although how one would dampen horns with flower stems seems blatantly obvious to me, I cannot image doing the same with a box of BB’s. So please, by what means does one facilitate horn dampening with buckshot?

Being a certified diver, I use weight for open water diving. Just happen to have some extra one pound weights that I laid in the top lip of the horns. These are lead shot filled cloth bags. So, no spilling and no rattling. Works great for me to take the ringing out.

I to wood veneered my JBL 4507 cabinets. They look very similar to yours. The main difference is that I used a black plastic top instead of veneer. The veneer is flush with the sides and front of the plastic. From a seated position, all you see is the wood veneer. I beveled the front edges as you did. The grille is also rescessed and the wood veneer surrounds them like yours.
It's interesting to see a very similar looking speaker. I will try to take some pictures and post them.
