    le175 maintainance

I have a set of LE175s that I have owned since they were new. They have been in use for 34 years and have never been serviced. From reading this forum it appears that there is some type of damping material in the rear chamber of the driver that needs to be replaced periodically. I suspect that these drivers are long over due for this and would like to do this work. I have searched these forums and have not found anything about how to do this. Can any one here point me to a place where I can find instructions or perhaps provide those instructions in this thread?

    Hello hvengel

We need a reconner for this one. There are foam pads in the compression drivers that deteriorate and crumble with age. With drivers that old maybe they used a different material like felt instead??? That's a long time on the diaphrams but other than that maybe you are OK.
