Umm, use Heather's link? Your own posts and threads won't show up as "new post" to you until someone replies. No one replied. So how are Desi and Billy doing these days?

Damn man, he’s making Buddy Guy look bad LOL he’s got shape, sharp memory for the musical notes and timing is (pitch perfect). Could it be Mozart being resurrected?

Well, OK. I suspect Desiree Bassett feels like the boy in Searching For Bobbie Fischer. In the end he is forgotten by the public when an even younger talent comes along.

Quinn certainly does have what it takes - already - and I can't wait to hear what those bends sound like when he is old enough to be feeling the heart of the blues himself. The differences should be subtle but deep. I do hope he is the next Mozart and ends up blowing us all away with his genius.

This reminds me of gymnastics' parade of little girls. He sings way up there naturally. Big guys like Michael Bolton have to grab you know what to reach those notes. What an advantage! Like Desiree but even more so, he also makes all the adults playing with feeling - twisting, head back with eyes closed - look silly in a strange way. How do they have to dig so deeply when this kid can already do it at nine years old?

Don't get me wrong, the deeper a musician goes the more I appreciate it. No matter how old they are - or are not!

I wonder what Derek Trucks sounded like at that age?

I have just one word to say. Technique! The kid is neither showing-off just a true young professional and that is very rare thing. What’s he going to be sounding like in a year’s time; someone should give him a break at the top. Talk about recantations!

Desiree is the best new guitar player period, in fact she's better then most of the pros currently playing! You should hear her play Joe Santrini's "Why"...at age 16 she destroys it, and Satrini's stuff is some of the most difficult technical stuff you can play and she makes it look easy. When you hear her play "Why" you'll swear she's better then Jimi Hendrix and personally I think she is in a lot of areas. However she has one problem, she can't sing, but neither could Jimi Hendrix, so I have no doubt she'll make it big, but not if she sings unless she gets some really good voice lessions and improves a lot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDr0jj5RLUQ

Better than Hendrix ...... LMAO . Playing in a Jackson tribute .... later performances to include the local mall no doubt . Like Clarke said ..... if these kids can turn technique into art then they have a chance to be really good ,but will never be on the same planet as , Hendrix, Page , BB King , Chuck Berry , Townsend , Beck , SRV, Slash , ... Jeez ,the list is endless . When she can fill a stadium with 70,000 fans we can call her great !

The Quinn kid is certainly a gifted guitarist but these guitar gods are /were much more than that.

    At the age of 9,
she began taking singing and guitar lessons at the
    University of Connecticut music program,[8]
where it was discovered she had perfect pitch
    and could play by ear.[6]

She soon began giving lessons herself.
    [5]

    Bassett counts among her influences
Jeff Beck, Rick Emmett, Jimi Hendrix,
    Reba McEntire, the
    Allman Brothers
    and her personal idol
    Joe Satriani.[9]
