Is there a difference between L65 and JUBAL? If so please let me know. I have a set of L65's and I was informed they are NOT JUBAL's. Other than the port and the name on the nameplate, is there any other difference in make or worth? Thanks.

The first generation L65 was also known as the 'Jubal'.Originally Posted by duramaxxx

For your info and piece of mind the L65 & L65A was the only model known as the JUBAL and are to this day still great speakers!!!
You can tell your informant to kiss your ass....because he/she's uncategorically wrong.
As is typical with all the latest iterations of JBL models....the L65B should be the most refined. L65 Jubal is the simplest, L65A had the improved alnico 122A and more refined crossover....L65B had the ferrite 129H which actually is a more robust driver than the 122A.
FYI....the 122A and 129H both take the same current recone kit....C8R129H.
The 126A in the L65 Jubal has a smaller spider and less low frequency extension.

Better yet, ask 'em what the difference is.Originally Posted by edgewound
Then lay Edge's post on them....
The original Jubal/L65 also has the midrange located in the center, (next to the nameplate), with the 077 mounted outside - this is reversed on the L65A's. Also, the Jubal/L65 nameplate/foilcal says Jubal in big letters with a tiny L65 printed down in the corner, while the L65A just says L65 in big letters with a tiny A down in the corner.
I don't have any L65B here to check for differences...
