May we have a U.S. Patent number, please?
A double-tuned pipe, I can't imagine the summing is very coherent with the sources being 150" (12.5') apart.
[Musta been fun developing it, tho.... ]
If your are interested in this sort of the thing check out www.danleysoundlabs.com especially the DTS-20. All of the tapped horn subs use a technique to combine the front and rear radiation of the driver coherently over a certain range. Tom Danley also bases his statements about his speakers on repeatable measurements, just try to find measurements on any product produced by the company that rhymes with blows. He aslo produced a free horn-sub design for the pro audio community referred to as the LAB sub, because it was designed for the Live Audio Board. Some people have built these for home use.
I remember a club in southern spain using dozends of this cannons in an all bose system. Must be 20 years ago in my better days
I remember more vividly the stunning JBL system in a club called "SCOPAS" in northern spain. It was the best club system I ever heard in my life and I heard a lot!! It was the good old tower combo:
W-Horn
Double scoop
Front loaded mid horn
2440 with 2395
2 slots on top of it +
4 slots in quadratic cabinets ALL over the place
There must have been dozens of these towers it was just incredible. WOW
THOSE WHERE THE DAYS....
Back in the 80s JBL was leading in spanish clubs and spanish clubs where leading in europes club szene.
That's right Guido they were issued around 1988 and was considered as a revolutionary powerful deep low system,i've heard one of theese and wish could own one of theese but at that time they were quite expensive and only venues could afford this kind of system, they are seldom seen in france, the last one seen went for 1400 usd.
do you know who did the install at this club of yesterday? sounds very very interesting....Originally Posted by Guido
No, I don't know. But as stated it was the best club system I ever heard. It was a "cost no issue" installation. It was located in Empuriabrava northern spain.Originally Posted by louped garouv
This era is over. Today they all use Beyma or D.A.S. installations or even far east speakers. It's long ago that I used to travel those clubs.

That looks like something used to scare the birds out of the corn fields.
If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.
Keep in mind that it's 12" long and Bo$e would recommend using 4~8 of of them get good bass.
One good JBL 18" would just wipe the floor with the Bo$e.
If you can remain calm in a crises, you don't understand the situation!
