    JBL LE14A Surround Question

Hi, is there anything I can put on the original LE14A surrounds to soften them up? They are in perfect condition, but they are a little hard! Thanks

Do a search here on "brake fluid" and no, I'm not kidding... A temporary fix - but new surrounds are best.

I have a pair of LE14Cs with the original Lansalloy surround the same as the LE14A (beige color). When I first tested them, Fs was ~ 80. I treated with brake fluid (use only Type 3, not 4 as noted in various postings here) and re-tested. After two treatments (24 -48 hours apart) one was down to 26 but the other remained ~70. Three more treatments to that one and it is down to Fs=25. I don't know how long it will last, but it certainly DOES work.
