    Question 4435 versions

I just had my 2234 H reconed, and I discover that the cabinet of my second hand 4435 has no separation wall inside!!!!
The center of the 2344 hornflares are not exactly aligned with the 2234H center. The distance between the opening for the horn in the cab and the sidewall of the cab is not that mentioned in the drawings given by HofmanHP.
Were my 4435 modified by the precedent owner or are there different versions?
I need to replace the 2426 compression drivers, which version between "H "or "J " must I choose?
    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards

Why you need to relace the whole drivers?

Driver replacement is 2425H or 2426H or 2421A
Diaphragm replacement is D8R2425 or D8R2421 (rare)

    Hi Squirrel,

thanks for the numbers.......your systems seem to be from 1981 (some of the first made).

    BTW: my 4435 are 483006 and 483098 from 1995

    Hi Squirrel, Hi Guido,

as far as I know, the 1981 version was equiped with 2421, from 1986 with 2425 and from 1990 with 2426.
So I'm curios how the 2426 could find their way into this 4435.
Maybe we will find out more when we know all driver numbers.

The registry shows three groups of numbers:
    5 digit beginning with 11xxx
    6 digit group 2xxxxx
    6 digit group 4xxxxx
    ?????

    Hi Hofmannhp
Thanks for the informations about my 4435, I suppose they had several owners before me, and I think that the retailer who sold them to me combined different drivers and cabinets.
My next question is: the front panel seems to be a genuine part, and how could they have removed the separation wall, the bracings and the compression driver bracket, and for which purpose?
I have a couple of 2404H, 2 Rane active crossovers and what could be the ideal location of the 2404H ? They can't be aligned with the 2426 and as the 2344 ( i'mstill looking for one) protudes the baffle, I suppose it will disturb the trebles emitted by the 2404
    Best Regards
