    Question JBL 2243H SUB

Hi all you JBL geeks. I have got a pair of 2243H, and ill like to ask all you guys : Will they play in a 200 liter box ? (Vented / Closed ?)
I have tried to put the TS parameter into several box cal programs, but it seems they are a littel confused (and me) cause they all come up with 10 to 20 liters. And yes, i have checkked all the parameters again and again...but no luck. Then it is a bit difficult to calculate ports etc..
Can anyone help...just a few hints maybe ? I have read (a lot) about the 2244 / 2245 and 6/8/10 cu feet cabinets, but nothing about if anyone has tryed a smaller box.

Check the T/S parameters you are using against the information here:

Hello i also have 2 2243h woofers and i´m also interested in a box.
They were fitted in the 1999 years S1S synthesis sub box.
I think i will build 2 S1S-ex copy to mine. They aint so big . I have also 4 2245h woofers in 4x400 liters boxes and they are big.

Where in Denmark do you live ? I live outside Malmö.

Why bothering with own designs. Build a S1S-EX as matsj wrote.

    http://manuals.harman.com/JBL/HOM/Te...1S-EX%20ts.pdf

Net volume with 25mm walls and some bracings is ~186 liters
You'll have to tune the cabinets to 25 Hz which means 3 duct tubes one flared end dia 80mm and length 386mm.

    Thats all.

Attached find the response. X-over at 80 Hz required.

Keep us posted. Will be monster subs.

There is also 4645c box the " pro " version, 225 liters tuned to 25 hz.
Maybe Guido can simulate both of them .

I do not have the time and patience to simulate both.

I would not expect too much difference between both cabs and recommend again to go with the S1S.
