Most jpegs upload without issue. They need to be RGB jpegs and cannot be too large in either file size or pixel size. 95dpi and under 800 pixels wide usually work fine.

try this...it usually works for me
keep the size no greater than 640 wide or high and size less than 150 K. I belive that's what Zilch told me once when I was having problems. Seems to work ever since..

You used the image button in the editor to insert those .jpg's, which is only for linking to an Internet URL. To upload the images, you need to scroll down below the message editing window and click on the "Manage Attachments" button to actually upload them to the site.

It's interesting to sort by price:

    L88 - $198
    S99 - $249
    L100 - $273
    L55 - $276
    L45 - $495
    L200 - $597

I bought S99 back then, because I knew the cat would shread L100 grilles in no time....

Yeah, I was just looking that over... I bet most people looking at the S99, L100, and L55 made their decisions based on the box and grille over the sonic differences.

The L55 obviously became the L65... does anyone remember what was in the L55?

LE14A, LE20-1, LX-15, same load as S99, essentially, in a bigger box as floorstanders.

Don C gave me a couple of empties that now have LE14H-3s in them, retuned to ~30 Hz for "Research."

You liked the bass last time you heard 'em, as I recall.

[Hmmmm. LCR notch filter on the HF, even back then, @ 1125 Hz, according to Giskard's formula. I should Spice that and see what it's about....]

I realized the components were different... but if the cabinet isn't exactly the same, the design certainly was.

I thought it interesting that the L65, which was a huge seller, came from the L55 which was a brief blip in history. I think that sexy looking 077 was likely a large part of it's success.

    Smile Availability

Dealers where I was growing up (NW Ohio) stocked and pushed the L100, S99, and L200. In fact in most places it was L100 and L200, period. Based on floor samples and back room stock, the L88, L55, and L45 didn't exist.
    Out.

I have fond memories of my L-45s.
They got the cops called on me a few times in my mispent youth.

I gave them to my renegade daughter. They've probably been hocked to buy her boyfriend some beer.
I'm afraid to ask...I'd probably srart crying.
