L-300 Crossover

Has anyone replaced/upgraded the capacitors in their N333 crossovers? Mine are all original and I'm wondering if they may have deteriorated over the years. I'm the original owner and have not abused the speakers.

I'm also a jbl L300 original owner.
The speakers are 136h, LE85, 077 and N333 crossover.
Some years ago, i upgraded the crossover with polypropylene
capacitors and air coil.
The L300 were not sounding much better
I think the original N333 crossover is the best quality regarding
the price
Today I'm using a electronic crossover with capacity to tune frequency, slope,phase, channel level and some equalization .
That is really a improvement for me

The first, and easy, upgrade is to add bypass capacitors.

Well I just completed the capacitor change out in my N333 crossovers. I used Solen polypropolene capacitors that I got from Parts Express. Solen does not make a 16.5 uf cap so I used a 16uf and paralelled a .47uf. WOW! What difference! Now the output of the LE-85's and the 077's are within 1db in output from speaker to speaker and the sound is so smooth and sweet. I would highly recommend this for anyone with L-300's. Believe me I'm not one of those guys that claims he can hear the difference between brands of capacitors. This difference is dramatic! The 16uf and the (2) 20uf capacitors are on the lower level of the crossover box and are sunk in potting material. I just left them there, clipped the wires and mounted the new capacitors on top of the potting material using hot glue then soldered the wires to them. Worked out very well.
